whew. i’m kinda tired just re-living this session … this is not the first time this sweet darling little girl has had me chasing at her heels working my tail off to get some cute photos!

maybe it’s just a little funny, though … that every session i have with her … i work crazily … chasing and calling and jumping and giggling and trying to rope her in for a brief moment … and she always ends up giving me some of my most favorite images of all time. like this one … that we captured last fall. i love this photo.

it makes me happy whenever i see it. probably because i really really love that chair too. and knowing that she is the daughter of a friend helps. and it was fall and she was dressed adorably … and also maybe … i had to work superty hard to get that shot.

but … during this session a few weeks ago … i had to work hard again … (oh. boohoo, huh?) … and yet … her and her family blessed me with some more amazing images.

there was just something super sparkly about the light scattering off of the river that night. it was so beautiful.

and there were these amazing connections that i was able to capture with this family of three. they are tied together in the most subtle of ways … calm and cool. easygoing. so lovely to be around.

(i kind of remember feeling calm. cool. easygoing. lovely to be around. at one point in my life too. notsomuch with three kiddos anymore.)

so. stinking. sweet.

they came to me … with the hopes that we could capture a family photo … and i’m totally saving that for when they get their images. i’m just teasing them with these.
